Hello again! So, now that I'm getting into the swing of blogging (and loving it!) I've decided that I want to do regular posts every Monday and Friday. This may get too much but for now, to get some more posts out there and for my readers to get a feel for my style and blog, I've decided that is what I'll try!
Today I want to do a 'My Week' post, I don't know if this will work well as, you know, I don't live a particularly exciting life but hey ho here goes! I would really love some feedback on how you found this post so I know whether or not to try it again some time :)
Today I want to do a 'My Week' post, I don't know if this will work well as, you know, I don't live a particularly exciting life but hey ho here goes! I would really love some feedback on how you found this post so I know whether or not to try it again some time :)
So this week I actually left my house to do things SHOCK HORROR! One of my goals for the next few months is to actually save money. After this week, it's not working too well for me because I spent a lot of money doing things ooops! But, I had a great week. And will promise myself to save money from now on. Hopefully? Definitely being a vampire and staying in this week. And possibly hiding my card *cries*.
Anyway! My Week! Now that I have successfully convinced myself that my immense spending this week was justified, kind of, and probably bored your socks off in the process... I will tell you what I ACTUALLY did this week!
Tuesday - Cinema
On Tuesday I went to the cinema to see 'Southpaw'. I saw the trailer for this film a few months ago and I really wanted to see it. Mainly because it was written by Kurt Sutter, the creator of my all time favourite TV show 'Sons of Anarchy' (best show ever, if you haven't seen it watch it now!) Also because it is one of those films that has a really hard hitting story-line and I am a sucker for those. I can tell you that I bawled my eyes out pretty much the whole film. I feel sorry for my boyfriend having to deal with my sniffling and snotty tissues for an hour and half. But it was worth it because it was a fantastic film! I will leave it there and not ruin it for those who wish to see it! Whilst we're on the topic of films, Friday's blog post will be a 'Top 10 Feel Good Movies' post which I'm really excited about so please take a look on Friday!
Saturday - Shopping!!!
Saturdays were made for shopping. Oh yes I went shopping. But came back pretty much empty handed... sorry for the anti-climax! However I managed to spend money which doesn't make sense to me. Actually it makes perfect sense to me because I am one of those that spends money on various small cheap things which have no real significant purpose except to make me happy and then £50 later only have a bottle of Starbucks caramel syrup to show for it (which is fantastic in coffee's by the way). I picked up essential stationary supplies (I LOVE stationary shopping) for second year including this adorable diary!
And I swooned over bags in Accessorize which I will definitely be going back to get next week (I'm an indecisive shopper who always regrets not buying things).
Me and my boyfriend decided that lunch wouldn't be complete if we didn't go to a dessert parlour for lunch. Obviously really healthy and nutritious! So we visited Kaspa's which has just opened and sells fresh waffles, crepes, muffins, cakes and has an amazing selection of Italian gelato and chocolate bar milkshakes! If anyone has heard of 'Cremes Cafe' then it is basically the same. No, exactly the same just re-branded! I love it there because they play cartoon films of TV's and projectors around the restaurant and I'm a big kid... which you probably guessed when I said I was having dessert for lunch!
Sunday - Work...
Over the summer I've been working with a company called The Challenge, which is a youth programme charity and is the UK's leading provider of the National Citizen Service (NCS). NCS is a social action programme for people ages 15-17 and is basically a opportunity for them to gain skills by going out into the community and carrying out a social action campaign for a local charity. I'll be doing a blog post about my work on the NCS at the end of September so keep and eye out for that I learnt so much and can't wait to share!
So yesterday I had a really long day going out into the community with a team of young people completing their sponsorship challenge of the '99 challenges'. They had to complete as many as possible and raise money for their charity partners by getting sponsored to do the challenges! It was a lot of fun but very challenging at the same time because, you know, running around a busy high street trying to find a group 15-17 years olds can be pretty stressful. But I had a great fun it was good to see them all trying to get involved in the activities!
So there you have it! That was my week in action. I also had many days of slobbing in my PJ's with chocolate and ice cream which was also GREAT! Remember that there is no right way to live your life and as long as you are happy and having fun nothing else matters! I know it's Monday and many of you are probably feeling like poo about that so here is a little bit of Monday motivation for you to keep going throughout the week...
And also here is picture of me cuddling a cute dog called Billy that I met to today just because dogs are the best.
I hope you all have an amazing week!
Until next time...
Paige xxx
