Easy to Digest Mindfulness!

I am not going to pretend I am an expert in mindfulness. I have, however, been developing my own personal practice for over two years now and I have dedicated a lot of time to learning about mindfulness and finding ways to practice it in my everyday life (I even wrote a dissertation on it so will attempt to say I know a lot of stuff…).

What I have realised is that there are is so much that people do not know about mindfulness. A google search on mindfulness can be quite daunting… there is so much information, so many websites, so many practices and so much advice. I know it can be off putting because it put me off to in the beginning!

As a result I decided to make a post that has some key things you need to know about mindfulness. Busting some myths, giving you some websites for great practice guidance, and just generally trying to summarise mindfulness in all its glory to encourage you to think about becoming more mindful. I hope you find it useful... enjoy!

Grad Diary 10/09/17: First Week at My New Job

Happy Sunday everyone! This post has been a long time coming. I have been a busy bee so just haven't had the chance/motivation to write it! Long story short... I had another interview at the end of August, I got the job, started on Monday and finished my first week of full time adult work on Friday... and here we are!
So yes, rather than go into a big old story about the interview process etc etc. I just thought I would write a post now to update anyone who is reading that I got a job and give a little bit of an overview of my first week! Also will attempt at some advice for any grads out there still in the never-ending hope for jobs!

Grad Diary 16/08/17: Taking Risks!

Happy hump day all! It's the hump in the week when Monday motivation (if you had any) has gone and Friday is just that little bit too far out of reach... I'm hoping that my blog post might give you some inspiration to push through today and make the most of the end of the week! Today I want to talk about taking risks in job applications and why it is so important to take a chance on yourself and just GO FOR IT when something comes up that really fuels your inspiration.

Grad Diary 26/07/17: My First Job Rejection

Second post in my blog grad diary!

So last week I had my first ever graduate interview for the role as a trainee psychological well-being practitioner - as a psychology graduate trying to get her foot in the door of a mental health career this is a pretty incredible opportunity as it involves studying and working at the same time to be a qualified low intensity therapist after one year whilst being paid and trained on the job!

Day 1: Beginning Life as a Graduate

Welcome to my graduate diary! I am back to my blog and with a fresh new perspective... a day by day guide to my life as a (currently) unemployed psychology graduate! Being a graduate in 2017 comes with it's own challenges and complications and what better way to cope with those challenges than to document them all to share with fellow graduates to convince yourself and others that you're not alone! I hope you enjoy this little series for as long as being a graduate trying to discover herself allows.
